Things To Do @ YorkiePhiles
We've got lots of goodies to do here, and since it's a new site, it's a good
idea for me to list out all the things you CAN do @ YorkiePhiles! So without
further ado, here's a great listing of activities on the website. (Note, SOME
of these items may require you to be LOGGED IN, but most don't even require
an account here.)

A large part of this site is the Yorkie Website links. You can search
for websites related to yorkies here. If you have
your own site, or know of one that SHOULD be in our list, but is NOT,
please submit it in the appropriate category! The more great entries
in that database, the better for ALL members & visitors of YorkiePhiles.
These entries can be personal sites, informational sites and even commercial
sites (we have categories set up for those various areas).
Also, if you have a banner ad for your Yorkie related website (non-commercial
sites please), send it to me at ggooden@yorkiephiles.com, and I'll add
it to the banner rotation! |

When you sign up an account on YorkiePhiles.com, you get your very own
yorkiephiles.com email address! After signup, your email address is yourmembername@yorkiephiles.com.
The email is both web-based and pop3/imap enabled, so you can even use
your favorite email program to grab your email (using pop3.yorkiephiles.com
as inbound & outbound mail server). If you are using Outlook Express
or some other email client, be sure to enable secure outbound so your
email gets out. |

We have a wide variety of message boards to choose from. Message boards
are a great place to get to know other members and to find out information
about Yorkies. No one knows yorkies better than those who own them!
If you find that we've not covered a topic that should be covered, or
you would like to be a moderator of a message board on our system, be
sure to tell us about it and we'll make it happen! |

As a member of our system, you get your very own HOMEPAGE (10 Megabytes,
ask if you need more) that you can set up in a variety of methods. Upon
signup, your homepage web address would be http://members.yorkiephiles.com/yourusername
and that's the address you would tell your friends about.
You can use our WEB-FTP feature to upload your html files. You can use
our "template wizard" to make your pages (admittedly that section
needs some user-friendly work.. grin) and you can even use FTP! The ftp
address after you sign up is ftp.yorkiephiles.com, and you would use your
standard yorkiephiles username & password to connect! |

Check out the listing of the member's homepages here. The site is relatively
new, so there won't be a whole lot yet (why don't you create your own?),
but keep checking back and you'll see more and more great sites done by
yorkie lovers! |

We also have a chat server here, so you can chat with all your yorkie buddies
(or make new ones!). If you would like to host a chat room and have scheduled
chats (or just random chats), let us know and we'll
add it for you! |

We have a great member profiles area where you can answer a questionnaire
for others to view information about you (we don't ask any personal questions
and NEVER share your account information with others!). This is a great
way for other members to get to know you! |

We have a great "Articles System" that sure could use a bunch
of great Articles about and for Yorkies! Check out what we have there (sparse
at first to be sure), and if you have a great article you'd like to post/write
into the system, just SUBMIT ONE there and we'll approve it for others to

have a yorkie event (show, website event, scheduled chat somewhere, etc.)

- A Yorkie Rescue database to help people find out about doggies needing
rescued
- A Yorkie Breeders database/directory so you can find breeders in
your area who have available puppies.
- A Yorkie Treats Recipes Database
